About My Mom n’ Pop
My Mom n’ Pop’s goal is to provide education and free referrals to older adults and their caregivers/families by qualified gerontologists–a professional with a specialized body of knowledge and experience related to aging and elder care issues such as care-coordination and support services.
As gerontologists, our staff works with older adults and their families and therefore brings more to their practice than other elder care resource sites. My Mom n’ Pop brings the experience of working with resources in your community. We are more aware of real life problems, health and otherwise, that emerge as persons age and what tools are available to address them. We are tied into a formal or informal system of social workers, nurses, psychologists, and other elder care professionals who may be of assistance to you. We can assess a senior’s physical, social, and financial needs and stitch together a patchwork of services to address them.
My Mom n’ Pop is also a resource for working caregivers. We understand how dealing with a loved one’s needs while working can affect concentration and work productivity.
To families struggling with the needs of aging relatives, My Mom n’ Pop can be a godsend.
