Testimonials
From Miriam Jirari at Northrop Grumman
Hi Susan,
I just wanted to let you know what a valuable experience the NG employees and myself had from your class. You were always professional, approachable, and your extensive expertise on the subject matter was apparent. I was very impressed with the content of your presentation and your ability to communicate with the employees. It was a pleasure working with you and hope we can have more Elder Care programs in the future.
The employees’ overall rating for you: 99% would recommend this program to others and 98% found this program would benefit their life.
I also received verbal feedback which was all positive. The employees stated that they are now inspired to do something now about their future. I believe this planted a seed in most of them to begin forecasting what they or their loved ones may need as time goes on.
Thanks again,
Miriam Jirari MPH,R.D.

Hello Susan,
I was very pleased with your presentation topic and overall content today that you did for us at Boeing, Seal Beach. As you noted from the group many of us have parents in need of care and have been or are facing difficult choices and problems. My mom has been disabled many years but in the past two years has deteriorated quite a bit. She is still able to perform ADL functions but many with the help of my dad. We (their children) are fortunate that for now they have each other but I see my dad deteriorating as well. They get along okay and fortunately for my mom, my dad has made many home improvements to customize their mobile home for her comfort and to enable her to do some things on her own.
At this time, I do not think our family is in immediate need of any help but it is good to have information as I foresee something could change quickly.

Susan, you have a way of blending pertinent and interesting anecdotes (both personal and objective) with the dissemination of information in a way that is absolutely fascinating & compelling. That was some afternoon! We all enjoyed and learned and enjoyed some more. I hope you did, too.
Your experience with the group regarding Medicare would lead you to believe that most of this group is cranky and antagonistic. it ‘s the subject that caused that atmosphere…they are upset, angry and worried. But you recognized that.
In general, the seniors are bright, active and connected to the present world. At least, the people who come to events seem to be.
Actually, there would have been quite a few more people, but a number of the “regulars” are on a cruise together
Okay, I’ll shut up now. I just wanted to tell you that you were/are terrific and thank you lots and lots
There are 10 signed up for the Mental Health seminar as of today. Are you using power point again? If not, we can meet in the Beit Midrash. Whatever and wherever you’re comfortable.
Love,
Pearl
